When PyXLL is installed for the first time some example code and configuration is included to help get you started.
These examples are not required for you to use PyXLL, they are just some examples to show you some of the things that are possible.
It is expected that once you have looked through the examples, you will remove the ones you do not need, and incorporate any you want into your own project.
This "PyXLL Example Tab" is an example of how you can create your own ribbon tabs using PyXLL. Details of this feature can be found in the documentation here https://www.pyxll.com/docs/userguide/ribbon.html
In the example pyxll.cfg file, an example ribbon.xml file is included, which is what you see displayed as this example tab. If you open your pyxll.cfg file and look for the "ribbon" setting in the "PYXLL" section you will see where this is configured:
You can find the example ribbon.xml in the "examples/ribbon" folder. You can use this example file as the basis of your own ribbon configuration, and change this setting in your pyxll.cfg file to reference your own ribbon file.
If you open the example ribbon.xml file you will see where the "PyXLL Example Tab" name that you see in Excel is coming from:
